Verbal disruption. Engage: "How can I support you to keep today positive?"
CODE 5 Escort
Cannot resolve / physical posturing. Security escorts to cooling area.
CODE 10 Remove
Refusal / physical contact / threat. Remove from premises. Document. Notify Chair.

  • Push, pause, talk. Hold transmit button 1 full second before speaking. The radio clips the first half-second.
  • Call format: "[Who you want], this is [your name]. [Message]. Over."
  • Confirm format: "[Name], this is [you]. Copy, [repeat key info back]. Over."
  • Keep it under 10 seconds. Longer conversation = use your cell phone.
  • Only answer calls for you. If someone calls for Weatherman, only Weatherman responds.
  • "Over" = I'm done talking. Don't transmit until you hear it.
  • Stay on Channel 1 unless Weatherman directs a switch.
Standard:
You: "Weatherman, this is Christy. Group of twelve at east entrance, no credentials. Over."
Weatherman: "Christy, Weatherman. Copy, twelve at east, no credentials. Stand by. Over."
Emergency:
You: "ALL STATIONS, this is Alec. EMERGENCY — medical, main hall row 6, male down. Over."
Everyone goes silent. Weatherman coordinates.
EMERGENCY FORMAT
"ALL STATIONS, this is [name]. EMERGENCY — [type], [location], [description]. Over."
Types: MEDICAL · ALTERCATION · PERSON WITH WEAPON · FIRE
HOT MIC WARNING: If your transmit button gets stuck, it blocks the entire channel. Nobody else can talk. If you hear no traffic and nobody responds to you — check your PTT button. If the TX light is on, release it immediately.
Channel Jammed?
1. Do NOT engage or respond to the jammer.
2. Weatherman will send a text message: "GO 2" (or GO 3, GO 4).
3. Switch your radio to the channel number indicated.
4. Radio check on new channel when Weatherman calls for one.

Morning — Pick Up:
1. Report to the Lighthouse for your numbered radio + card
2. Radio check at the desk: "Weatherman, this is [name], radio check. Over."
3. Confirm: "Loud and clear." Verify Channel 1.
Evening — Return:
1. Return radio to the Lighthouse. Channel 1, powered off.
2. Report any issues (battery, damage, broken clip).
3. Radios charge overnight for Day 2 redistribution.

  • Your radio is numbered. Your card matches. Don't swap radios.
  • All comms are transcribed and logged at the Lighthouse in real time.
  • Weatherman is the bridge to campus security/LEO. You report to Weatherman. Weatherman relays to Todd.
  • Do not engage physically. Observe, describe, report. Let security handle it.
  • When in doubt, call Weatherman.
